Unitus Ventures has raised more than US$13 million for investing into 30-40 early-stage startups in India. Unitus Ventures invests in startups serving the needs of large, underserved low-income populations. Unitus Ventures invests in multiple sectors including education, healthcare, agriculture, livelihoods, technology for development, and necessities. Unitus Ventures has two investment funds: Unitus Ventures India, an India-based SEBI-registered Venture Capital Fund, and Unitus Ventures, LP, an offshore venture capital fund.
India Fund investors include T.V. Mohandas Pai (Formerly Infosys CFO), and Dr. Ranjan Pai (CEO of Manipal Education and Medical Group). Global fund institutional investors include Crystal Springs Foundation, ImpactAssets, Unitus Labs and The Renaissance Foundation. Global Fund individual investors include Jeff Clark (Impact Investment Leaders), Vinod Khosla (Khosla Ventures), Hari Kumar (Formerly Goldman Sachs), and Bob Gay (Co-Founder of Bain Capital).
