Awign Partners With Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council to Boost Employment in the State

Awign, a tech-enabled work fulfilment platform has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the K-DISC, Government of Kerala’s Development and Innovation Strategic Council to provide employment opportunities on its platform for the youth of Kerala.

Transforming the Future of Work, the gig economy has the potential to impact 23.5 million workers in the next eight years, making up 4.1 per cent of the total livelihood in India. The partnership will expand the potential for over 3.95 lakh+ youth registered on K-DISC’s Digital Workforce Management System (DWMS) to apply to Awign’s gigs spread across 8 core business functions, the statement said.

The collaboration comes in line with Kerala Knowledge Economy mission, launched by K-DISC, which aims to provide employment to 20 lakh people over the next five years in various sectors and job verticals. As per the MoU, Awign will accommodate candidates registered on DWMS platform on its projects with leading enterprises in verticals such as auditing, diligence, invigilation, proctoring, last-mile operations, business development, and digital gigs, according to the statement.
